The Ridgely House: The oldest house around the park, the Ridgely House was built circa 1794 by Dr. Frederick Ridgely, who delivered the first medical lectures in the West at Transylvania University. Mary Todd Lincoln also went to school here when it was used as Ward’s Academy around 1831.
